Miriam Miller grew up in Edinburgh, Scotland, and lived extensively in Europe, the United States and Asia before settling in Australia.

A language graduate, she began work as a conference interpreter at the European Commission in Belgium, translating from German, Italian and French into English. She has since written books and papers for multinational organisations and speeches for corporate executives and political leaders in Asia and Australia.

She lives in Perth, Western Australia, where she continues to write.
